Digital printing allows us at PAOM to transfer your designs directly from the images you upload to the objects of your choice.
Our standard process for printing your designs all over is called reactive dye digital printing :
First we run fabric appropriate to a given object through a digital printer. The dyes used by the printer are calibrated to adhere to particular fabrics - canvas, for example, requires different ink than one nylon does.
DESIGNER MADE TO ORDER CLOTHING AND MORE
After the printing is complete we steam and wash fabric so that dyes penetrate it fully, adhering to fibers beneath the surface. This is why multiple washes won't compromise the prints on your PAOM objects.
Only once the printing process is complete do we assemble each object individually...
It's more common to find print-on-demand manufacturers who use a technique called dye-sublimation printing. In this process printing is initially done on paper, and heat is used to transfer the print from the paper to a garment consisting of a synthetic material like polyester. You might recognize dye-sublimation printing by the gaps in the print that appear at a garment's folds or creases.
Reactive dye digital printing allows us to use natural as well as synthetic materials - sublimation printing requires synthetic materials like polyester for their reaction to heat.
Just as important to us, reactive dye digital printing is environmentally friendly and efficient, and it results in a durable object - for your long term use and enjoyment :-)
